LONGPOWER technology lab with environmental testing chamber

Winter
Technology

Where thermal engineering meets the mountain's coldest demands. Every technology in our lab exists for one reason — to keep you warm, dry and performing at your best when the temperature drops.

Innovation Lab

Core Technologies

01

StormShield™

Advanced waterproof-breathable membrane for ski jackets. Microporous structure blocks snow and water while allowing vapor escape during high-output skiing.

02

ThermalCore™

Heat-reflective insulation system using premium synthetic micro-fibers that trap body warmth on the coldest lift rides. Delivers maximum thermal efficiency for minimum bulk.

03

BreathFlow™

Dynamic moisture-wicking fabric architecture that accelerates sweat transport during intense skiing. Air-channel construction creates continuous ventilation for all-day comfort on the slopes.

04

LayerSystem™

Modular ski apparel architecture where base layers, mid-layers, and outer shells are engineered to function as an integrated thermal-control system.

05

RangeGuard™

Durable water repellent (DWR) finish free of PFCs. Environmentally responsible treatment that maintains beading performance through extended field use.

06

TerraDura™

Abrasion-resistant textile reinforcement at high-wear zones from ski edges, poles and falls. Built for impact with snow and ice without compromising flexibility.

How It Works

Precision at the Molecular Level

LONGPOWER lab testing waterproof performance with microscope and fabric samples

Microporous Barrier Technology

The StormShield™ membrane contains billions of microscopic pores per square centimeter — each smaller than a water droplet but larger than a water vapor molecule. This physical barrier means waterproofing that never washes out or degrades over time.

Directional Moisture Transport

BreathFlow™ channel architecture creates capillary pathways that actively pull moisture away from the skin toward the outer surface where it evaporates. The result: you stay dry from both outside and inside.

Seam-Level Engineering

Every seam is fully taped using heat-fused tape that matches the membrane's waterproof rating. Critical stress points receive double-taping. It's not enough to use waterproof fabric — we waterproof the entire construction.

Environmental Responsibility

Our DWR treatments are PFC-free. Our membranes are bluesign® approved. We believe that protecting the explorer shouldn't come at the cost of the environment they explore.
